This year the Christmas project at The Pearl Club is supporting the nonprofit Bellevue Quilt Ministry in Owensboro.  This group provides quilts and numerous other handmade items to many local organizations as well as others in the United States and foreign countries.  

 

For example, they recently provided quilts, matching pillowcases, and pillows to the new local Hayden Home for Girls and are now working on the same for the Yewell Home for Boys.  Plus, they are making baby bibs and burp cloths for the local CareNet and reusable fabric sanitary pads for girls in Tanzania.  This is only a small sample of the projects they are currently doing and have done over the last 17 years. 

 

The Pearl Club is supporting them by selling items they have made in our Golf Shop through December 21, 2019.  There are a couple pictures below and lots more on The Pearl Club Facebook post from November 18 (https://www.facebook.com/TPCowensboro) and you can see everything in the Golf Shop.  All proceeds from the sale of these items go directly to the Bellevue Quilt Ministry.  So, you can get a unique, handmade gift for those on your Christmas list or for a baby gift or something for yourself and help support this ministry at the same time!  

 

They are using the monies from this fundraiser to purchase supplies and to raise money for a permanent location.  Monetary donations for the ministry are also accepted at the club.  Checks for donations should be made to the Bellevue Quilt Ministry.
